There is no magic word count that appeals to millennial consumers, but they have a ton of information flying at them all day long, so if you want them to notice your advertising content, you will need to keep it brief. Get to the point quickly, because they are inundated with content all day long. They live active, on the go lifestyles. You might only have one traffic light length of time to sell them on your product before the online content is swiped away from their screen forever.

Photos & Memes Are Preferred

If you can put together a quick graphic saying the same information you can say in 150 words of ad content, you’ll be better off. This generation loves memes too, so be clever. If you’re going to parody a trending meme to fit your business, make sure it’s still actually trending. There’s nothing a millennial will find lamer than you using a meme that was popular on Reddit two months ago.

Break Up Large Content

You’re not writing a college final essay, so you don’t have to reach a hefty word count. In fact, no one will be more impressed with word count. Brevity is preferable. If you have a lot of info to pass along in your advertisement, organize it well and use headers, bullets, and lists.
